Turnpike Community Theatre are deeply saddened to say goodbye to one of its founder members and Chairperson.

Gill has been an advocate for the Arts in the Wigan and Leigh Area for over fifty years as both an active participant and fundraiser. Her passing will leave a large hole in Turnpike and the many other groups and local arts charities that she has supported.

We are so thankful to have had Gill as our leader - she will be missed; and never replaced. May she now rest in peace.

Gill’s funeral service will take place at Howe Bridge Crematorium on Thursday 19th December at 1pm. Friends and colleagues are invited to the service to celebrate her remarkable life and public service. This will be followed by a gathering at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel, Leigh Sports Village.
