Puss in Boots Auditions

We are excited to announce that open auditions will be being held this summer for our Christmas pantomime of Puss in Boots.

Auditions are open to those aged 16+ at the date of auditions.

Please note, you do not need to prepare an audition piece beforehand as scripts will be provided on the night of the audition and time allowed to prepare in small groups.

Synopsis

Jack, the miller's son has been left with just the family cat in his father's will and although he has great ambitions it is unlikely he will amount to much! Things soon change with the arrival of his Auntie Hettie and the revelation that Puss can talk (and look pretty fetching in a pair of boots)! Soon Jack, Auntie and Puss are embroiled in a complex scheme to persuade the King and Queen that Jack (masquerading as the Marquis of Carabas) is suitable husband material for the beautiful Princess. But first they will have to contend with a jealous noble suitor a pair of dastardly henchmen, and a hideous shape-shifting Ogre!

Please note, by auditioning you confirm that you are available every Thursday evening from 7.45pm-10pm in Leigh for rehearsals along with some additional ad hoc weekend rehearsals (which will be confirmed with cast members beforehand). Performances are taking place at the end of November/beginning of December and you will be required to attend every performance as well as the dress and technical rehearsals in the days leading up to the show.
